of the American Society of Women Accountants is to enable women in accounting and related fields to achieve
their full personal, professional, and economic potential and to contribute to the future development of their
profession.
The Omaha Chapter...
was chartered in 1976, and is comprised of accountants who are employed in private industry, the government
sector, education, and public accounting. Our membership covers management trainees to upper management,
students to instructors, and staff assistants to partners.
Our Objectives...
To develop technical, leadership, and management skills and to provide training in career planning and
goal setting.
To promote active participation in developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting standards that
serve the profession, the business community, and the general public.
To educate accounting professionals in the value of addressing quality-of-life issues.
To cooperate with other accounting and business organizations in joint projects which support the mission
of the Society.
To ensure the continuation of ASWA as a strong and viable organization supporting members in achieving
successful careers.
